Breakthrough in the USA: Danish Lenus achieves record revenue
In 2022, Lenus achieved a remarkable milestone with a record revenue exceeding 26 million euros, further solidifying the global demand for online coaching. Additionally, the company witnessed substantial growth in the United States, which is now its largest market.
In just seven years, the Danish health-tech company Lenus has become one of the world's leading players in holistic online coaching. Thus, the Danish company once again delivers a record revenue of over 26 million euro.
The revenue, which has increased by almost 65 percent compared to last year, is largely driven by international enthusiasm for the health technology behind Lenus. In the past year, Lenus has successfully expanded to Spain, the Netherlands, Norway, Finland, and the USA. And especially the US market has quickly become the company's largest market in terms of revenue.
"With a new revenue record, we once again emphasize that there is a great demand for affordable personal coaching worldwide. It confirms that we are on the right track, and that we are operating in a market with tremendous potential," says CEO of Lenus, Bertram Thorslund, and continues:
"We take great pride in our accomplishments in the USA, recognizing its vital importance to our business and public well-being. It is truly rewarding to witness the enthusiastic embrace of Lenus by the American people," Bertram Thorslund asserts.
Massive investments in holistic health
A focal point in 2022 has been to invest in the Lenus platform, which has undergone significant developments to ensure that it maintains its position as a frontrunner in the field of digital holistic health. The establishment of a Health Innovation Team, which includes specialists in nutrition, psychology, physiotherapy, and medical science, among others, has helped accelerate product development.
The ambition is to offer an even stronger platform with more tools that benefit both coaches and clients in the pursuit of a happier and healthier life, Bertram Thorslund explains.
"We want to be the world's leading player in holistic health. We want to emphasize the importance of having a healthy body and a healthy mind. Therefore, we have significantly reinforced this aspect because we are convinced that it is central to our mission to reverse the negative health trend and make the world a healthier place," he says.
Strong starting point for 2023
Optimism is running high at Lenus, as the company is prepared to accelerate its investment plans.
In 2023, the company raised over 26 million euro in an investment round, successfully attracting experienced and competent investors such as EIFO and the founders of 3Shape, Tais Clausen and Nikolaj Deichmann. This happened despite turbulence in the venture market - and even at a higher valuation than in the previous investment round.
"Lenus is experiencing rapid development, and we are facing exciting long-term investment opportunities that will significantly strengthen our company. The investment round helps ensure that we can execute at the right pace. Our next major goal is to expand to Canada, and we have already initiated the necessary preparations," says Bertram Thorslund.
Lenus currently has over 400 employees and offices in 11 cities around the world, including Copenhagen, New York, London, and Berlin.
